When I made the first "The Frank" Tool Rolls I thought it would be great to sell them with a selection of tools as well as empty. I didn't want to fill them with low quality tools as that just doesn't sit well with me. I've got the scarred knuckles that show that a lot of the cheaper tools out there can and do break. The original "The Frank" was full when I inherited it from my Grandpa (see "The Frank" for the full story.) It was dominated by one brand of spanners - and that was King Dick. After you get over the modern slang meaning of the name, you realise that they started manufacturing hand tools in Birmingham back in 1856. The best bit is that they still do - and are the only remaining UK manufacturer of spanners left. After meeting their team and visiting their factory they are a brand of tools that I am happy to fill "The Frank" tool roll with.
So in this set you will receive the following;
a "The Frank" Tool Roll in either Maroon or Khaki (just select)
Combination spanners in 8, 10, 13, 15, 17 & 19mm. Hot forged from 31 CrV3 Chrome Vanadium Steel. Precisely machined, heat-treated and nickel-chrome plated.
a slotted blade, 7/2 x 4" long - wooden handled screwdriver
a crosstip blade, PH2 x 4" long - wooden handled screwdriver
We will also be selling a range of King Dick tools as separate items so we are happy to build up your own selection for a tool roll. Just add a tool roll and the tools you'd like and drop us a message to let us know you'd like the tool roll filling before shipping.
..and "Dick" was the nickname of the original owners price winning British Bulldog.
** The video shows a small adjustable spanner being included. We have removed this to achieve a new price point and will be updating the video soon **
