Sneeboer Handspade

We've always been fans of the Sneeboer Great Dixter Planting spade, so when they annouced they were making another similar tool we knew it would be one for us to stock.

It's called the Handspade - and that describes it perfectly.  Think of it as a short handled spade. (and yes we are preparing for even more comments about it being a childrens spade when on display at shows!)

It has an overall length of 57cm.  The stainless steel spade head is 14cm by 12cm and is a normal spade shape, just scaled down.

The handle is Ash, with a T handle to allow for better grip.

Hand forged by Sneeboer in the Netherlands, who have been making and developing garden tools since 1913.  Now in the hands of 5th generation family members, Sneeboer use stainless steel to craft the ultimate tools for gardeners.  Their tools are the anthesis of the cheap trow away culture.  Built to last a lifetime and to be maintain in order to continue to perform like new.

As the Sneeboer Great Dixter Planting Spade is hand forged please expect to see some hammer marks and black coke marks on the surface.  These add to the unique character of each tool and do not affect the durability or quality of the tool in anyway.
