We've been testing a pair of these secateurs for over a year now. Why so long - because I want to like them ... but I don't!
It's taken us this long to work out where they fit in to our range and now we are happy to offer them as an alternative secateur.
These are refered to as an "S" shape. It means the blades are cranked to one side, like a sidebent scissor. I much prefer an "A" shape with the blade centred between the handles. But some people don't, and if you like the S shape then the Shumatsu's are a great choice.
They also blend high carbon blades, but with riveted aluminum handles. That reduces the overall weight, which can be a plus for many people (I prefer tools with weight to them.) They weigh 181grams and they are 204mm long.
