Gransfors Bruk Spitting Maul

After years of trying we have now been excepted as one of the handful of UK stockists of Gransfors Bruk.  Stock should be arriving towards the end of September 2024 ... but we were keen to get the information up on the website as soon as everything was confirmed. 

Some jobs just need weight and power.  The Gransfors Bruk Splitting Maul does that one job, and it does it really well.

With a 7 lb head and 32 inch hickorey handle this is a big and heavy tool.  If you regulary need to split large or knotty wood then this is perfect for you.  The poll (opposite end to the cutting edge) is elongated and is designed to be used like a sledge hammer for hitting wedges.  They are supplied with a leather sheath.

Gransfors Bruk have been making axes in Sweden for over 100 years.  All their axes are still made in their factory in the town of Gransfors.  Each head is marked with the initials of the blacksmith who forged them and they are designed to last a lifetime.  For us they are the best quality mass produced axes available on the market.
