I'm a big fan of the Christmas period and I'd been thinking about doing a Tinker and Fix Christmas card. In the late 90's I was a sales rep and spent many hours zig-zagging across Lincolnshire visiting doctors' surgeries. One Christmas out in the wilds of the Fen I passed a tractor yard with an amazing Christmas "tree" out front made completely of old tractor tyres. That image always stuck with me, and suddenly came to mind as being very Tinker and Fix.
Technical drawings I can just about handle, but not anything that requires a creative eye. So the problem was finding the right artist to make this project happen. To be honest, I'm used to getting very blank looks from people when I describe some projects I'd like to get done. Try approaching scented candle manufacturers asking if they could replicate the smell of Castrol-R....
Anyway, we're big fans of the illustrations of Bewilderbeest - especially his tool related designs. Contact was made and from our first conversation I knew he "got" what I was describing.
So here is our first collaboration with the very talented Iain Hamilton aka Bewilderbeest - and we are very happy and proud of it.
