Sneeboer Stone Spade with Steps

We've had this spade on display at several shows recently and it certainly gets people asking "what's that for?"

The answer is that its been designed specifically for digging in stoney or clay soil.  Soil that a standard spade doesn't have enough edge to bite into.  The "crown" design of the leading edge increases the cutting edge by around 30%.  The teeth allow you to break up the soil as you dig, and dislodge stones etc.  The two slots in the main blade body as designed to help prevent soil sticking to the head.
