Regardless of how you want to refer to it what we've found is that its massively useful - especially when working on your knees or in raised beds. The longer handle length (42cm) makes it perfect for digging in borders where space can be an issue. Originally designed to divide perennial shrubs.
Overall size (62cm) keeps it easy to wield in tight spaces in the border.
Made from stainless steel.
Hand forged by Sneeboer in the Netherlands, who have been making and developing garden tools since 1913. As the Sneeboer Great Dixter Planting Spade is hand forged please expect to see some hammer marks and black coke marks on the surface. These add to the unique character of each tool and do not affect the durability or quality of the tool in anyway.
The wooden handle is made from ash and replacements are available if ever required.
