Niwaki Winter Glove

Gloves are always difficult, and I think winter gloves are the hardest to get right.

Why? because the balance between protection and maintaining any form of dexterity isn't easy.  A glove that offers a lot of protection is usually thick and restrictitve making it difficult to actually work with.  A glove that's also designed to keep your hands warm and dry is even more challenging.

So do these Winter gloves from Niwaki hit that balance?  Being honest we aren't sure yet.  We've started stocking them because several of our customers said they are good.  We'll test them over this winter and be able update this product description with our views at that point.

Our first impressions are that they fit well and aren't too bulky.  They are fleece lined so they are going to be on the thicker end of glove spectrum.  Everybody will ask - "are they waterproof?" - well the fingers and palms are rubber coated ... so those areas are but with all gloves you've got to remember that theres a large hole where you put your hand in!  There's going to be limited breathability due to that rubber coating so we'll see if that results in sweaty palms in use.

Sizing wise take a measurement across your palm;

• Small is 7cm
• Medium is 8cm
• Large is 9cm
• XL is 10cm

I would say they come up on the smaller side and therefore size up if you are just over a size.
