Joseph Marples 9" Try and Mitre Square

Joseph Marples have been making joiners tools in Sheffield since 1840, so they know a thing or two about getting it right.

This is the larger version of a try square, being 9" long.  It also has the added feature of the handle being set to mark 45 degree angles as well as 90.  This means it can be used to mark mitre cuts when a square trim piece etc.

The metal is blued steel and the handle is made from Rosewood.  It's attached using steel pins with the traditional brass diamond inserts.
