We're really proud that the Liggoo Light Kit was awarded 'best torch' by the IndyBest review from The Independent newspaper. The IndyBest review is definitely worth a read.... they describe the Liggoo as being ‘by far and away the most versatile torch here, there is nothing the Liggoo can’t do.”
Being able to see what you are doing is critical to an effective tinker... if you’ve ever spent time under a car trying to see a nut or under the kitchen sink fixing a leak then you’ll know that head torches make sense. Most head torches are designed for the outdoor market - for use whilst hiking or around campsites. That’s great - but they are often over designed, have a focused beam pattern and a lot of the time are too bright. If you are looking for a bolt head 2 ft in front of you, having enough Lumens to light up the side of a mountain can actually be an issue. I’ve found Liggoo to work perfectly as a head torch or as a spot light using its hook or magnetic clip.
The main torch unit uses 3 LED's to produce a wide beam pattern that's perfect for illuminating your work area. The torch has four settings - three different brightnesses and a flash setting. These are selected by pressing the centre of the light. The brightest setting is 150 Lumens which gives a 1.5hr run time - 6 hrs on the lowest setting. Recharging is via the supplied micro-USB cable.
The torch unit attaches to the multifunctional clip thats provided. This then allows it to be attached to the head strap to make a really useful head torch. Or you can attach the large hook to hang the light. The multifunctional clip has a strong magnet at the back to allow it to be securely held to anything metal. The front of the clip can be positioned to a number of angles.
The Ligoo light kit contains:
Liggoo torch head unit
Multifunctional clip (in yellow)
Head torch strap
Hook (in yellow)
Please note: Liggoo offer multiple kits for different usage all based around their octagonal torch unit. We'd previously selected their Outdoor kit as it gives us everything we need for around the garage and house. However, we've now switched to their Home kit as it has everything that the Outdoor kit included plus a torch handle for the same price. The only difference is that anything that you see on the product pictures as being orange is now yellow.
