We're calling it. It's November, so it's time to think about Christmas...

We know it's early to think about Christmas, but at Tinker and Fix we've got perfect gifts for DIY, crafters, outdoorsy people and gardeners

Christmas is creeping earlier and earlier each year.

Our local garden centre, that goes BIG on all things festive, 'opened' their Christmas store in September - and this is now considered to be 'normal'.  Our social media feeds have been beset by Christmas related content for some time now - from events to go to, gift ideas to buy loved ones and recipes for inspiration.

And whilst we personally prefer to put Christmas 'off' for a little while, to enjoy the autumnal hues of this lovely time of year, rather than rushing straight towards the idealised white snow and robin birds, professionally speaking we recognise we are already late to the (Christmas) table.

So... you can either come and find us at one of the various Christmas fairs and events we're going to this year - to see which ones, just click here

Or, you can keep your eyes peeled and watch some of our gift guides on Instagram.

But really, why not just sit back with a cuppa and do your shopping from the comfort of your couch and get your gifts online from us?!

Of course, you are on our website and reading this, so you already know the drill... we reckon we're the best go-to place for presents that are a bit more practical (but still beautiful none the less). We've got a great selection of gift ideas for people who like to make, mend and grow - from DIY enthusiasts to gardeners, sewers to car or motor bike restorers, or people who just like to tinker in their garage or workshop.  All carefully selected - so we pick our 'best choice' from brands including Carhartt Workwear, Toyo Japanese toolboxes, Niwaki garden tools, Leatherman multitools, Opinel Penknives and Sneeboer gardening tools.

BUT - importantly - if you were thinking about buying one of our one-off axes, hori-hori's or hammers  - then you may need to get in early (not a sales technique - just a reality of being a small business and stock levels!) Edd is busy painting the handles of axes, hammers and hori-hori garden knives in custom colours already. He's also working on sheaths for our Skatewood axes. And our limited edition Skatewood Hori-Hori garden knives and our Skatewood trowels are - well - to point out the obvious - limited in number - so please do think about buying them early to avoid disappointment.

So - we'll try not to bombard you with Christmas related content - but please do think about us when you're ordering all your presents and gifts this year... as a small, independent business we'd really appreciate it (and hopefully you'll give us a bit of credit for not being annoyingly Xmasy too early!)

If you are looking for Christmas present inspiration - then take a look at some of our gift guides - we've lots of different ones for different types of people or for different price points. And if you are still stuck, then don't hesitate to drop us an email or get in touch via instagram and we can hopefully point you in the right direction of a top gift suggestion that will last and be loved.
