Christmas Delivery.....

Christmas Delivery from Tinker and Fix

It's getting close to Christmas - so here's our postage update (and all you need to know to make a decision whether or not to order before Christmas), given the reports of delays within the postal service:

  1. Any orders placed after Friday 17th December (our cut off date for "normal" delivery on the run up to Christmas) and up until 13.00 on Tuesday 21st will still be processed and shipped but are unlikely to arrive before Christmas. They may - but that's in the hands of the Royal Mail and your call on whether you want to 'risk it for a biscuit' (Edd will HATE that phrase!)
  2. Given the reports of delays we have increased our postage costs and moved all orders to 1st Class - to give things a fighting chance to get to you (but no guarantees from us... sorry!)
  3. BUT - if you would like a guaranteed service / Special Delivery please get in contact prior to ordering - the reason for this is because we have so many different products of various sizes and weights, we can’t offer a ‘standard’ next day rate. Instead we will weigh what you want and give you the postage price. Please just get in contact (hello@tinkerandfix.co.uk) and we will happily sort this for you - we'll try and do this as soon as possible so you can make a decision on whether you want to put the order in. If you do, we'll send you the link for the stuff you want, including the postage cost.
  4. We won't be dispatching any orders placed between 13.00 on Tuesday 21st and Tuesday 28th December.  Orders placed during this time will be dispatched from Wednesday 29th.  This is to avoid your order sitting in sorting offices during the festive holiday shut down.

Hope that is clear and you know where you stand... please remember - small businesses like ours are not Amazon. We don't have a fleet of vans, nor any control over the postal service.  If you don't want to risk not getting a gift - remember - you can, instead, get a gift voucher!
