Carhartt have been making these beanies since 1987. Originally designed as a workwear essential they soon became a go-to favourite for anybody when the temperature drops.
So why are they called the Carhartt Classic Watch Beanie? Well, apparently they are called a "Watch" beanie because this style of hat was issued to sailors on "watch" during WW2. Every day is a learning day - and we were told that from one of our customers on instagram (see - social media can have some positives!)
And this one is called 'classic' because it's the original design (we've been wearing this version for years). There is a slightly different, updated design called the Carhartt Black Label watch beanie - which has a Carhartt leather logo patch in a matching colour.
The Carhart Classic Watch Beanie is made from thick acrylic yarn - so this hat is a warm option for the colder months. Soft to the touch, the stretchy rib knit creates a stay-put fit.
Been wearing mine for about a week now and yes it keeps your head very warm indeed great size covers the ears to I don't think you will get better for the price very high quality and it's made in the USA.
