Our Skatewood Hatchett is featured in The Field!

It never gets old.... it's always lovely to be featured in Christmas Gift Guides.

Our latest Christmas Gift Guide mention is in The Field magazine - with our Tinker and Fix skatewood axe alongside some other lovely present ideas for people who like practical presents and countryside living.

We're delighted to be featured as we continue to be proud of our Skatewood Axe - given each axe is completely unique, and brings together the talents and skills of four British makers:
  • The head: designed by Alex Pole and made at The Forge, Somerset.
  • The haft (handle): made by Sam Morris, The Axe and Edge Tool Co, Powys, Wales.
  • The skatewood: made by Ben Footlit, Afterlifebf, Lincolnshire.
  • The sheath: designed and made by Edd, Tinker and Fix, Rutland.

We reckon it was the first skatewood axe - it's the perfect size for kindling, camping and for hanging next to your log burner. Yes, it's a bit of a treat - but isn't that what Christmas presents (or birthday!) are all abut - something completely unique, a one-off gift that will make someone smile, make them feel special and perhaps something they wouldn't buy for themselves?

The Skatewood Hatchets are available to buy online. And you can read the reviews from just some of the people who have bought (and loved) them!

For other Christmas present ideas - pick up your copy of The Field, or check out our gift guides.
And thanks The Field - for liking what we do - we really appreciate it!
