Our latest project... hammers with Skatewood detailing...

I’ve got a bit of a thing for Skatewood at the moment.  

It’s the name given to the laminated Maple reclaimed from damaged skateboard decks.

The coloured layers give a great effect and it’s saving it from going to landfill.

These hammers are a work in progress at the moment, but we’ll have four hung with Skatewood wedges in the next couple of days.  

Two will have painted handles - the other two will have some interesting grain detail.

They should make a nice new edition to the Tinker and Fix hammer collection - we reckon they'd definitely tick a box for the gift for the person who likes tools but you don't quite know what to get them. It's an interesting and unique present, that's useful too.

And we are already working on another project to take this concept a step further, and sharper.  More to follow soon (ish) ….
