New Sneeboer now in stock!

It’s always a good day at Tinker and Fix HQ when we receive our Sneeboer delivery. Today was even more exciting as we’ve brought in even more options for you to choose from!

We’ve picked 9 more garden tools from Sneeboer – based on customer recommendations, or our own preferences. So… what’s new?

Firstly, the new large tools: 

1. Sneeboer drainage spade with steps: in summary this is a super spade that’s designed to cut through heavier ground for drainage (or not). It’s slimmer, so it’s easier to handle than you might think given its head depth.
2. Sneeboer pointed spade with steps: it does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s much more pointy than a standard spade. So it’s good for heavy ground and more precise holes.
3. The raised bed weeding trowel: the standard Sneeboer weeding trowel is a big favourite with us and customers. Perfect width and point for getting into hard soil. So we went with the longer handled version. Because we know you like longer handle for raised beds (and to save your backs and knees).
4. And – for shows (only - sorry its handle is too long for us to post) , we’ve got the flat stone scratcher with a 155cm handle … aka the amazing patio slab weeding tool that we love and tell everyone to get, but on a long handle…. Great for avoiding knee and back ache. Terrible for the amount of extra sand I’m going to need to buy to replenish the gaps between our paving as no doubt I’ll be overzealous with it!

And now the new hand-held garden tools:

1. The Thornet Trowel: this is the newest tool that Sneeboer launched at Chelsea Garden Show. It’s a bit of a radical departure for them as it’s got a stainless steel handle. We know customers like this, we still getting to grips with it.
2. The transplanting hand spade: we have no idea why this isn’t called the Tissot trowel with a longer handle (as that’s what it is). It’s the Sneeboer trowel we really rate for heavier soil (cuts through like butter) but with the great longer length T-bar handle – so you have even more leverage for when you’re digging. It won’t be for everyone but boy it’ll be fab for those who need it.
3. The Helmantel Trowel: one of Sneeboer’s more ‘odd’ looking tool designs – a customer heartily recommended it – so we’re giving it a try.
4. And talking of odd looking tools – you can’t get stranger looking design than the Von Lindren Cultivator. We brought them in to test at shows last year and wanted to ensure we got feedback as to whether they really were worth the investment. And given we are now listing them online shows they are – if you have pots and need to keep the soil aerated then it’s a great tool.
5. Finally – we’re calling it the ultimate Dibber. Because, frankly, that’s what it is. A bit like the Sneeboer seedling pricker (a thing of beauty and a wonderful gift for the gardener in your life, who likely won’t buy it for themselves, but will covet it) – you can live without it – but it’s so well made and designed – that you really want it.
