New personalised toolboxes

We've been selling these Japanese made pressed steel tool boxes since we began back in 2018.  This model is the Y350, or the "barn top" as we tend to call them, and it's by far the most popular size.

Over the years we've thought about ways in which we could customise these tool boxes and we've finally come up with a plan to add some great detail. After a bit of fettling to get them right, we've landed on a hand stitched leather cover to the handle and small leather shield piece that allows up to 3 initials (or a name) to be added.

The mid tan coloured leather that we are using is great quality.  This means that it will not only last a long time on the handle but also start to develop its own patina over time with wear.  Each handle cover is hand stitched into place using the distinctive Baseball stitch pattern.

The small (35mm x25mm) leather shield is cut to fit into the same shape indent on the top left of the tool box.  This gives us enough space to stamp three letters - so it's great for initials or a short name.  

We've selected the three colour tool boxes that we feel suit the tan leather additions the best.  These are the Olive Green, Matt Black and the Battleship Duck Blue.

They are now live and can be ordered online. 

The leather additions will be made to order so there will be a slight delay in sending out this product while they are being made.  This should normally only be a couple of days but if you are concerned about the time frame then please get in contact prior to ordering and we can let you know how we are fixed.
