Charity secateur sharpening this Sunday!

On Sunday we're looking forward to doing some secateur sharpening for charity at one of the NGS open gardens.

Having enjoyed wandering around some lovely gardens in the past as part of this brilliant scheme, we're delighted that a couple of keen gardeners who we met at the Burghley Christmas Market invited us to join their open garden event!

It's a bit of a community affair at the village of Welbourn in Lincolnshire - as there are two gardens open, along with the village hall for teas, and the local forge is also open for a look around.

We'll have a secateur and garden tool maintenance stand set up - so you can drop off your snips, secateurs or other garden tools and we'll give them a clean and sharpen for you, in return for a donation to the NGS charity.

We'll also be taking along a selection of garden tools - from Sneeboer, Niwaki and Opinel, along with gardening gloves and brushes too. So, if you dig out your garden tools and decide they are beyond saving and you want to invest in a new pair of Niwaki secateurs, Niwaki snips, Niwaki loppers or clippers - we can help you pick out the perfect ones that fit your hand and gardening needs. Equally, we'll be bringing along some of our larger garden tools from Sneeboer - with quality full size spades, forks and the brilliant smaller sized Great Dixter Fork and Spades too. And, of course, we'll be bringing our full range of Hori Hori garden knives - our serrated and non-serrated versions, the Niwaki Hori Hori and our amazing skatewood versions too.

If there's anything specific you want us to bring along - please do just get in touch... we'll be happy to add it in and you can have a look with no obligation to buy!

See you there - hopefully with secateurs in hand!
