I'd been following Cruz Custom Tools on Instagram for awhile. They make, in my opinion, the most amazing hex drivers out there.
I'm always looking for tools that blend functionality and a great aesthetic. Hex drivers are one of the tools that I'm happy for artistic licence to run a little wild on, as long as the function is still there. I think we hit the right balance with this project.
I got in touch with Cruz Custom Tools during the first Lockdown to see if he'd be interested in producing a one-off design just for us. It was the hex shaped drivers that had always caught my eye so that was the obvious starting point and I'm really pleased with how the design of this driver ended up.
Made from solid brass stock and hand carved this driver weighs 130 grams. It's 90mm in overall length and the hex is 20mm at its widest point.
It has an antique brass finish that will alter and polish up with use. Each driver has its own unique pattern of "battle damage" on the round centre shaft. No two drivers are the same.
The bearing is housed within a cap and is ultra smooth. The spin time is amazing ... and you'll struggle not to use it as a fidget spinner!
The driver is supplied with five Wiha Torx bits - T6, T7, T8, T9 and T10.
We have 10 available, in stock and ready to ship, and we won't repeat this design again.
